Live from the Road: Trip through New Hampshire

One of the last legs of the HomeAway Roadtrip took us through New Hampshire in September (the 25th to be exact). There's hardly a better time to be in New Hampshire, in my opinion. I grew up in New Hampshire, but hadn't been there during fall foliage for a number of years. I was excited when I realized that a perfect route from the Vermont-Quebec border to Boothbay, Maine, would be via the Kancamangus Highway.

Chip had never been to New Hampshire, so the Kancamangus Highway in late September was a good first taste. We also stopped by Clark's Trading Post for a souvenir and checked out the area where we have many vacation rentals in North Conway. Overall you can't go wrong visiting the White Mountains and New Hampshire in general during this time of year. We recommend you find some rentals and book now to take advantage of the natural display.

We ended our drive in Boothbay, Maine, which didn't have quite as much foliage action, but was scenic as it always is. We stayed in a cottage rental in Boothbay, which was very quiet, making for a good night's rest.
