What’s your best HomeAway memory? The Geneva team is great! Because we are a smaller team – around 40 people - we all know each other quite well. We have a mix of 16 different nationalities and 12 different native languages in our office and so such diversity makes it a very fun and interesting place full of many good memories! But my favorite memories are always when we have some kind of party. For example, last summer, we broke off into teams of 10 and each team had to build a boat and then race it in the Geneva Lake. We all finished in the water, but had a blast!
If you had to describe yourself in 3 words or short phrases, what would they be?
Joyful, positive and a little bit crazy ;)
What’s your favorite city to visit?
I love to travel and have visited more than 35 countries. However, my favorite city to visit is Cartagena de Indias in Colombia. With the mixture of the colonial city, the lively tropical colors and the Caribbean Sea, it is the most beautiful city I have ever experienced. I have many friends in Colombia as well, so it is always great to visit a place where you know locals who can guide you to the city’s hidden gems such as, the Naval museum of the Caribbean, the Café del Mar bar, and the islas del Rosario.
Who was/is your celebrity crush?
I never had celeb posters on my bedroom growing up, but I remember being a big fan of Ricky Martin when I was a teenager. Now, I would say Rafa Nadal, the Spanish tennis player.
Do you have any unique hobbies?
I started skiing when I was 2 years old and now my siblings and I love to practice freeride skiing (also known as backcountry skiing) where you ski on un-groomed and unmarked terrain.
